Project Start Date March 2011

This is a timber frame house which we are constructing to a passive level to enable application for the low carbon grant.

The wall build up consists of 140mm timber stud filled with Frametherm 35, Tyvey Air guard membrane with metalized tape and then counter battened for a service void.  The service void will stay open to enable a U-value of 0.15 to be achieved.

Passive windows and doors have also been installed with triple glazing on the north facing of the building and double on the south.

A Kingspan solar hot water system has been installed and a heat recovery ventilation system will also be installed eliminating the requirement for a traditional heating system.
