Timber Frame Supply and Erect for an eco friendly new build in the town of Coleraine, Co. Londonderry.

Kilbroney Timber Frame have recently produced this warm, beautiful and contempory home along the banks of the River Bann in Coleraine. With spectular views of the river and its countryside surroundings, our clients can enjoy living in a comfortable, warm and affordable home.

Our clients approached us looking for an eco friendly home that would be situated on the bank of the scenic River Bann in Coleraine. With this in mind here at Kilbroney we were able to develop an ideal package that suited our clients’ needs, and have detailed the specification below.

External Wall Insulation:

Insulated with 150mm Frame Therm between studs and 40mm Therm rigid PIR Insulation Boards on the face of the studs. This provides an overall ‘A’ rated wall with a u-value of 0.18wm²k.

Internal Wall Insulation:

Insulated with 100mm Earthwool Ecose Acoustic between the studs. This provides great acoustic values. Ceiling Insulation: 150mm loft wool insulation fitted in between joists and 150mm loft wool above the joists. 25mm therm rigid PIR insulation board fitted below the joists. Combined this gives the overall ceiling a u-value of 0.12wm²k.

Windows:

To match the highly effective timber frame walls and to tie in with the external finishing’s we fitted Grey PVC, double glazed Future Proof windows.

Internal Fittings:

– Solar hot water system
